Just received a bullet proof (resistant) vest from you guys. Shipping was fast and the product was great. Well at least seems that way, havent actually "tested" it. But clean and in great shape.

You never know these days. I live in North Toronto area which is quite safe, however you never know. Between the Eaton's shootings and that Batman nutbar you never know. Better safe than sorry, so now and again when I go out its nice to know that if sh_t hits the fan I will have some protection especially when my girlfriend is around. That was the silver lining for me in the Aurora tragedy is that so many guys jumped in front of their wives and girlfriends. Too bad none of them had protection (either armour or firearms), I think that is why things like that do not happen in Texas, if that guy to to pull that there he would get lit up by about half the movie goers.

Anyway SFRC is great and I look forward to doing more business with them.

I once read a study, I wish I could find it now, but bulletproof vests are most helpful in car accidents too, many police officers are saved by their vests because it protects against blunt force trauma to their Vital organs. Something to the tune of 80% less injuries. Again, I wish I could find that study back.

I thought SFRC only sold these to LEO's, Military, and security. Sure doesn't sound like it is being used by one out and about with ones girlfriend. If only those folks can buy them, then they should only be able to use them while on active duty. If not, then the rest of us slobs should be able to protect ourselves and loved ones with them too.

i think it was one of the old surplus vests that are no longer safe to use for ballistic protection, but more as a novelty item. I hope that the OP is aware of that if it is in fact one of the "surplus vests".

you can by these online and from ebay. just not from cdn police suppliers. i bought 3 or 4 and shipped them to greece for some of their LEOs.

I only wear my vest when I go over to the inlaws. That, a goalie mask and a cup!

..these will still stop what they're rated for. i split a package of 3 with a buddy and put some rounds into the 3rd vest to see. it stopped two 124 grain 9mm rounds. you're good to go.
