The author toured the new factory last week and took a ton of photo's. (I don't have permission for them, yet)

It was neat to take a look at the people and process behind the brand. Many people have a roll in fabricating the Grand Power guns. There is a lot of state of the art machinery involved. I believe the factory move involved moving and setting up 15 seperate CNC centers. Still, when it comes to the final product, only one person assembles the gun.

nice slide show. I wander how those pins stay in place in the plastic frame?

All the "lockwork" pins can't really move, as the plastic grip frame is in the way if they were inclined to creep.

The slide stop pin on the older models could creep, so the design was changed to include a spring clip in the frame insert.

The trigger and magazine catch pins are directional, and have a head that grips the frame. I've had mine out more than the average user, and they don't move on their own.

It helps to own and use roll pin punches.

Go for it. Just don't force anything.

After you field strip it, bring the hammer to half cock.
Press out the slide stop pin.
Press out the rear frame pin.
Lift the frame insert at the rear just a little. (0.5mm)
Rotate the safety levers up. With a little wiggling and slight sideways pressure they will come off.
Pull the safety cylinder out. (The side with the groove goes in toward the right, flat toward the rear.)
Pull the frame insert up out of the frame.
The frame insert has a spring in the underside that powers the slide stop down. It may fall out. Don't panic.

With the frame insert in your hand, control the hammer so it doesn't fall too fast, and press the sear forward to lower the hammer.
From here you can press the hammer spring pin out. Be carefull not to loose the metal cap that is at the bottom of the hammer spring.
The hammer pin can come out, but try to control it as the sear will be pushing on it.
Press out the firing pin safety lever pin. It's attached to a collar that is there just to ensure the proper spacing.

Put it in a big bag, shake and see if you can remember what everything does....

It's actually simple. It took me longer to type this than it takes me to strip one down.

I bought a k100 mk7 and got to test it today, this gun is off the hook! The trigger is top notch, it doesn't get much better! The accuracy is above and beyond amazement, the groups were very tight. The recoil is beyond belief too, it is very smooth and leaves you lined up perfect for the next shot. Rapid shooting is a breeze, it's very quick and accurate! I can't find anything bad about it, it is almost flawless in every way.
