When you find the secret warehouse of USGI surplus ammo, please tell us.

In the meantime, there is (or was) US commercial hardball yellow box and white box ammo that will function your rifle.
More guns than I need , too broke to buy more and too reluctant to sell what I'll never shoot.

Wanstalls sell new Federal ammo made specifically for the Garand. Look on their web site or just call.

Start reloading. You can create the perfect load for a fraction of the price of the Federal M1 stuff.

It's always nice to have a few hundred rounds of new commercial on hand even if you reload. I've been looking for some for my Garand as well but keep hearing about it after their all sold out. I wonder if Lebaron's or Sail might have some. Wouldn't mine some M1A ammo as well.

I have heard references to this. I assume the Garand is picky about the pressure curve, but what exactly is the issue with the Grand being finicky about 30.06 ammo?
