Would you be able to source some short scabbards, say for the 8.5 & 12.5" grizzlys? Something you could strap to a pack would be great.

Longer than I had in mind. That's probably a 18" barrel in the pic.

Likely so... I've seen some shorties around, but I believe the NCstar ones hve 4 length adjusting options.
