Gotta love all these WW2 rifles and SMGs that are being revived as semi-autos. Would prefer the real deal, but given the current laws its nice to have the semi option.

Okay, need 4 people to do 25% each and we'll each have it for 3 months of the year...My suggestion, so I get it first![]()
I would love to own one but the price is rediculously high. I wish one of the dealers would ask norinco for a version that we can all afford. We would all be winners then.
The price is not rediculously hight.
It is high, but for a VERY small number of guns likely to come in, I am not surprised. Think of the FG-42's, how much were they? They were also completely re-engineered guns to fire semi-auto. The semi-auto G-36's that made it into Canada have a high premium, as does the MP-7 (not sure if there's more than one) and considering that it fires a relatively common cartridge, it's not going to be hard to feed like a Boys AT rifle would be.
These guns ARE in fact, made of unobtanium. That there's a Canadian Dealer willing to bring them in is a HUGE success for us as consumers. If I had $6K to spare, I'd consider it. Alas, my visa says "no" quite resoundingly...

Death from a bar....
I'm nowhere near being able to afford that, but maybe one day in the future. I doubt it's as finnicky as the M1 Garand in terms of what .30-06 it feeds with so you could maybe put some cheapo (for .30-06, at least) ammo through it and it'd still function. I've always like the BAR, but the price is just too high right now. I understand the price, though, they're expensive in the states too. If you look on the manufacturers site you can see that a lot of the people who buy them seem to be retirees who actually trained on the BAR in the 1960's, apparently the manufacturer will also make the serial number the same as your old service number. Like the TNW guns, these are very much a niche item and those who buy them know exactly what they want. Maybe one day I'll have one.
