Hey everyone, I just wanted to take a quick moment to share my experience with Providence Supplies.
Recently, I found myself in need of a backpack that I could take out hiking/camping and for weekend trips. My current backpack was blue and purple with aluminum framing and was bought in the early 90's....
I stumbled across an ad in the EE (http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum...d.php?t=742236)and an Italian Surplus pack caught my eye. In addition to the sharp camo pattern, the pack looked to have all I needed. Now, I've never ordered surplus, so I didn't quite know what I was getting into... Needless to say, when I got my hands on this pack, I was very pleased. Not only did it have all the straps and buckles and zippers a guy could want, it had the hydration pack compartment, a rigid back to save my spine and a padded belt. Also, something I'd never seen before, every opening for things like your hydration tube (or headphones, depending on what you're doing) has a velcro cover to keep debris and moisture out... Pretty handy for me. Oh, and most of all, this thing is bigger than I had expected and that's a good thing. This beauty easily fits a few days worth of clothes in it so I can take it with me on weekends, fill it with food for family picnics (because Dad always has to lug the food) or put whatever else I can in there. Sometimes I like to use it as my tactical diaper bag... It's way cooler than the "purse" style bag my wife made me carry.
Also, the service was great. Communications with Providence was pleasant and the package was received in a timely fashion.
I highly recommend this retailer and plan to do more business with them in the future.
I am glad you are happy with the Pack. They are excellent and I keep a couple for myself.
Note. Full Disclosure: I do know NelZ16 from a previous life.
