Don't be sorry. I meant the rest of the brands, obviously.
I don't see why people complain about it so much when it cleans up just as easy as any other American ammo I have tried. Plus I've had more duds in some of this newer American ammo than the Norinco stuff made back in the 90s.
WRT the smoke, even AE or Winchester rounds produce a good amount of smoke. Again not any worse than the cheap Norinco stuff. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_Z5eErXoJI
To each their own I guess. We can definitely agree to disagree. There are pros and cons to everything.
I'm just hoping CanAm doesn't run out of this anytime soon... so enjoy the high end ammo and save the cheap dirty stuff for me.
I clean my firearms after every range trip FYI. Took the 1911 to the range and after 100 rounds of the Norinco the entire outside of the slide was caked with powder residue and the gun started acting up in various ways. So I stripped it right there and cleaned it from top to bottom. Fired the last box perfectly although I noticed the slide was bloody messy again so I made sure to give it a really good cleaning again when I got home. Now that being said I went through 500 rounds of the Norinco ammo without anythingthis dirty (albeit still dirtier than other brands I've used). So this last 150 rounds was just plain downright nasty dirty.
For the price though it was decent. And yes, I've never had a problem with it firing, though I did find a couple of these when I was picking up my brass:

I've ran at least 500-600 in a day and a half through my Kimber custom covert and she loves it. Dirty, yea but cleans up pretty easy and it goes bang evey time and it's grouping nicly. Can't complain for the price either. i'll be gettin some more soon.

Where is all the smoke? Every firearm/bullet will give off some smoke. I shot some "WinClean" and there was still smoke, but less. This ammo is no dirtier or smokier than your "high end" stuff you overpay for. I have proof... if my Sig 226 in 9mm gives off as much or more smoke with newly manufactured American Eagle factory ammo and the round is approx half the size... you be the judge.
Norinco 45acp
American Eagle 9mm
Tiny factory 32acp round
Oh my God, there's smoke! Pull a fire alarm. This ammo is no dirtier or smokier than any other. If a tiny 71g factory load can produce almost the same amount of smoke, I think it's fair to say that the Norinco isn't dirtier. Watch the vids. I haven't noticed any differences in internal residue. For those of you who think it's dirtier than other brands of ammo, please leave this stuff for the rest of us who know the truth. (If I shot a video of the LRN that I have shot before, you would choke watching it). My first opinion of this stuff was that it was dirty, but after comparing it and cleaning my 220 afterwards I now have come to the conclusion that it's not.

And yet I can shoot all day with "high end ammo" in my 1911 without my slide being covered in powder residue compared to Norinco .45 ammo. My last run of Norinco ammo required the gun to be cleaned in the field after 100 rounds. I've never had to do that with Speer Lawman for example.
I'm currently out of Norinco .45 or I'd do a test with pictures of both brands and cleaning afterwards.
I'm not knocking Norinco ammo, it works for the price and the little bit of extra cleaning is nothing compared to the price savings.![]()

Federal/American Eagle is the same as the Norinco in smoke/dirt in my 220. I shot 150rds of Norinco in my last shooting session and it wasn't that dirty. I am not going to dish out the cash for Winclean or Speer Lawman to see the difference. I am pretty sure you get the point with my videos up there. Someone said Norinco was smokier and it's definitely NOT.
Feel free to post your own videos of your clean ammunition.
