Sask. Last spring 3 hrs for my new 1911 45 permits were sent by email to my iphone and was told that I don't even need a paper copy, the iphone emailed copy was OK to use. This summer for my S&W MP 9mm took 4 hours.

Sask rules, except for the riders... The last pistol i purchased i called the CFO in sask hours after purchase. She asked to put me on hold so she could do the approval. my application was next on the pile. Everything approved and emailed within minutes.

That is awesome. This is the way it should be everywhere. It sounds like your CFOs office is actually using some common sense...amazing! Maybe there's hope for other CFOs.

The western CFO offices are definitely more user friendly in this area. I bought prohib from a CGNer in Alberta (paid by EMT) last Friday. He had it in the mail on Tuesday (approved).
Major BS that other provinces are taking weeks to do something similar.
