Question about DDM4 V5

Hi,

I tried getting in touch with DD but they are not replying. Maybe you know or have a way of finding out...

The upper is marked .223, the lower "Multi" and the manual you shipped with the rifle says that DD only chambers three calibers: 5.56, 6.8 and 300 Blackout.
Furthermore the advertising on the US market refers to it as ".223/5.56"

Is the chamber on my V5 actually 5.56 but marked .223 for export reasons? Can I shoot 5.56 ammo in it?

I'm a little confused by all this contradicting info.

Yes, you can shoot 5.56.

The early shipments from us are chambered 5.56 but marked .223.

Our latest batches are chambered and marked 5.56.

Thanks for getting back so quick. I guess DD didn't actually chamber any in .223 then?

I doubt any US company ever did unless they were already doing something like a 223 wylde for the US market.
