We may not know both sides of the story but I know one thing, Marstar has been a member of our communities for 20+ years while Grand Power hasn’t. I have also done business in China and Eastern Europe and throughout the years I have learnt a thing or two about how they do business. Honesty, professionalism and good business practices are not part of their policy or strategy.
Generalizing the actions of one company and applying it to entire countries shows your ignorance and lack of experience in the business world. Many north American companies conduct shady business much worse than the actions of GP.

Personal attacks will not get you too far with me.

Let me see if I understand what you are saying GP is conducting shady deals who would have ever thought that. And you are saying it is Ok for them to do so because some north American companies do business that way. Himmm that is an interesting point of view

No, I don't think that GP's behavior is acceptable at all. What I am saying is to generalize that entire countries have shady business ethics is unfair, prejudiced and simply not true. I'm sure the Europeans and Chinese have similar thoughts about North Americans and following your logic, that would imply that Marstar has poor ethics as well since many other companies in Canada/USA do not abide by the same, high moral principles. I applaud Marstar for sticking to their beliefs and looking out for the best interest of their customers. We need more of that in this world and companies who do this will indeed reap financial benefit because of it... E.g. by gaining new loyal customers like myself.

But what do I know? I'm no marketing executive. I'm just a "director of sanitary engineering" for my company... or some people like to call us janitors. Just my two pennies.

John, probably a good idea to close this thread at this point... Seems to have spun out of control in a hurry.

I think that pretty much summed it up.

Safeway must have had a sale on sour grapes. Just because you loose a product line, does not mean that you have to try to destroy it for those who are able to carry it.

I'm sorry if you see it that way, many of our customers asked and I replied.... Would it have been better had I lied ??
At no time did I dump on the product, the quality etc, etc.... I think they make a very good product....

I appreciate the honesty John, it makes me sad to realize that a great gun could have been sold in Canada for less.....
Blue line, by the sounds of it, will not be able to match the prices you posted. I can see why that price information might make some people mad at either Grand Power, or Blue line for trying to maximize profit.

I don't see why not, unless he paid higher prices than we paid.... He just contracted for 4000 pistols so he should be able to sell for the same prices....

I think that John has already stated that he will not be loosing this line of pistols on his customers.
