    M&P VTAC purchase

I received the pistol today. Thank you Gary and Dan, for the great communication, especially the phone call after I messed up my own birth date when ordering. It's nice to visit a website where someone responds to customer online questions in such a timely manner. If only we could get CFO approval in such a timely manner. Also, thank you for the new mouse pad.

    Take care guys.

ps. The price was excellent too.

make sure you double check your sites when you get it. first trip to the range and the front fibre optic site came out and the rear sight came loose loose on mine. also from wanstalls.

It's not wanstalls that's the issue, it's a known intrinsic failure of the production run from trijicon. Apparently this has been cleared up some time ago, my front fiber blew our first trip to the range and I was "standing by" forever for warranty service and actually got good answers from smith in the interim. Got her all running after that delay and the rear slipped out of the dovetail, a little locktite red, drifted it back and it's good. Enjoy the pistol ponymusic, it's a great firearm and I see no reason why those duds would still be in circulation. I'm talking about an experience over 18 months ago.

do you know the size of the allen key for the rear site? my front fibre optic only came out half way before i noticed it. gonna crazy glue it back in and locktite the rear sites. definitely no fault of wanstalls. more so just a caution because they are most likely from the same batch.

Not sure - just fit it out of a multi set. Some good advice, drift the rear out with a punch from the ejection port side and re install from the ejection port side. Be careful of the spring that flies out with a stainless plate under the sight. I found you only have one shot with the locktite. It dries fast on the pvd finish and sticks like s#*t to a sheet. I'm guessing its because the finish is so pourous.
