What makes these so special ?
Yes they are HP.
Do they even make a SP in .22 lr?
I know they make them in .22 WMR, but I don't think I've ever seen a .22lr SP.

They are quite hot little loads and the 40gr HP seems to work very well. There is a good video on Youtube where the fellow gets 11" of penetration in ballistic gelatin.
And it's a gold dot hollow point moving at over 1400 ft/sec
