I have this mount on my Springfield M1A and I like it alot. It sits low on the reciever which in turn makes scope sit lower and my cheek rest isn't too high. I use Leupold QRW rings so I can go to irons if need be. I found an article Lee Emerson wrote,M14 Scope Mount FAQ, which had a few tips on how to install th ARMS18 mount. In particular is the reciever groove spec on some rifles, anyway, just sayin I would buy another one. I don't have any trouble with brass jamming up the bolt, ejects fine,no problems with reloads, factory and surplus.

Re: You haven't taken your bolt out in 6 years?

    Dear Rocket Surgery,
Once the op. rod is removed there is a whole lot of play for the bolt to move fore and aft and cleaning can be done - although certainly not as thoroughly and it does work great for me.
    Federal 150 gr. FMJ = 1.5 MOA

In the Springfield Manual on page 27 it states, "...the frequency of disassembly and assembly should be kept to a minimum...causes excessive wear of the parts and leads to their early unserviceability and to inaccuracy of the rifle." Further with regard to those NM & Super Match rifles "...please do not field strip your match rifle unless it is absolutely necessary" due to the glass bedding etc.

I hope this clears up any misunderstandings.
    All the best.
