What is the difference between these and the first generation design?

These rails have quick release sling mounts on either side, as well B.C tactical refined these models with a much better fit and detail then the Gen1's.

This is what B.C tactical had mentioned that these models had more final detail improvement's than on the Gen 1's. And they were very happy with the final improvements to make this a much better rail system. Like anything else overtime these things get refined and updated. B.C tactical was very happy to release these models. I only have 1 set left with free arma-coating color of choice ($80.00 value FREE).

I really want that BC Tactical Gen 2 rail system, I have their scout scope mount, its really nice.... I'll be ordering that Gen2 some time in the next month or so..

Id picked up one a while back, very happy with it. It did require a bit of fitting, nothing major though.

Do you think the bottom rail would work with the NEA top rail? Is there any way to buy the bottom separately?

I think an NEA top rail would work with the B.C bottom rail but have not tried. I don't think B.C tactical sells lowers only.
