UPDATE:
We have just received the latest information from Federal regarding this ammunition.
The ammunition packed in cans was a promotional item from Federal. It is apparently very labor intensive, as it has to be packed by hand, as opposed to machine packed like their other products. They were also overwhelmed by the response to this product in terms of orders. They will not be sending us our current order, as they have decided to suspend distribution of this product until after SHOT 2013.
We have been advised by them to place a very large order, as it will be a one time order at SHOT for delivery in the first quarter. There will be no further production of this item until possibly some time in 2014. We have been advised to inform our customers that if they want to get their hands on this ammunition, they should pre-order it now, and certainly before January.
We apologize if this ammunition will not be arriving imminently, as we expected, but the shipping date is now outside of our control.
Please continue to place pre-orders as before by calling the shop. If you decide to cancel your order, please let us know as well.
We have received confirmation from Federal that we will definitely be receiving 144 cans of this ammunition. We have ordered more, but due to demand, this is all they will confirm.
UPDATE:
We have just received notice from Federal that there will be a price increase with effect from 01 April 2013 on all ammunition. This increase came to us without any prior notice, and we were not given the opportunity to order any ammunition at the old prices prior to the increases coming into effect. It also includes any ammunition that we have already ordered, but not yet received.
This means that any new orders for this, and other Federal products will be at the new prices. We will still honor the $99.97 price for all those who ordered prior to this, and we will absorb the difference in cost, rather than pass it on to our customers. Any additional orders for this product will now be at the new price of $119.97.
On the plus side, we have been informed by Federal, since we signed the new price agreement, that ammunition is now available again, and the first shipments have already been dispatched.
