    Here are the specs

    http://www.vortexoptics.com/product/...q-mrad-reticle

Says its a 4" eye relief... I have a Millet DMR which is a 3" eye relief, so my scope's a little more forward than the pic, since I'm a nose to the charging handle shooter too

Thanks.....had a derp moment late last night when I was looking at that exact page and did not see the eye relief specs.

I'm thinking the 3" offset would be better suited for my shooting style.

Which reticle is more preferable? Easier to use, etc?

Depends what you are doing. If you are going to use the retical as designed then it would depend if you prefer using the Milrad or Minute of Angle system. I like the fact that the retical (Mil and MOA) have crosshairs as well as a "Donut of death"

Personally I could use either on my AR since all of the shooting I do is 200yrds or less, so I don't need to try to use it for rangefinding.

If I need to hold off, then again, either retical works.

I would go with the MOA. The MRAD is a calculation that very complex, and the capped one i have, uses MOA adjustments (eg. one click is a half inch at 100 yards type thing, very simple). I found the scope to be excellent, but not as bright as the Eotech`s. I even turned the red dot off on certain stages depending on the background, using the black hash marks and reticle for aiming. When you want red, you make one easy click, on scope, and the `donut`appears. Its all about lighting conditions at the time of shooting.

This is the exact one i have. See the four red lines...... that is the donut of death.
Turned off, it still shows as black lines. As for offset, I use the cantelever ring set Darren has. It puts me above the forward site
    on an Armalite.
