I wonder what the story is on Tradeex. They have some refurbished SKSs for $169.00 that look really good. Do the numbers match on those guns? Might be an option for us "pork and beaners" that don't have a lot of money.

I talked to Anthony over at TradeEx - they don't have any of the 1949 models and the one's Westrifle has here are beautiful. I'll post pics when mine arrives in the post.

Have you seen a 1945 SVT-40 anywhere? That's the last one I need for my SVT collection and I'll pay a premium for one

Because it is open to people's different interpretation.
To some people new is never uncrated
Others new means "stored never fired"
To yet others it means manufactured yesterday

I looked at the ones on Westrifles site. They are very impressive looking to say the least. What a scoop for Westrifle to get those!

I find it strange that Westrifle the Russian SKS experts would have to ask the general public what "New/Unissued" means, when they are the experts. Why dosent Westrifle just sell their rifles either "New" or "Used" then all the confusion goes away.
Probably because they don't want to sell an item to the customer and have them say "Well this rifle is used, because it has been handled"
I would think they are just clarifying so they have this thread to fall back on.
