    7.62x25 tokarev

    Hello,

Just wondering if the 7.62x25 tokarev ammo is steel core or steel jacketed? Looking for tokarev ammo to shoot at the range and can't have steel.

    Thanks

Most definitely steel core in the czech stuff. makes great spark show when it hits the steel backs in an indoor range. Found several steel cores in the dirt too.

Surplus is steel core, if you want to shoot 7.62x25 indoors than you'll have to buy newly manufactured ammo. Stuff like the PPU 7.62x25 is lead core FMJ.

If you can find some Soviet surplus in brass cases, it's lead core

czech is both. prvi is copper/lead

ranges in this country need to step up their game. They must be using scrap metal for backstops.
