I thought so too, and they were, but judging from there website S&W has brought them back. Great move, on there behalf. I couldn't decide between the 460V and the 500 so I got both. They still put a smile on my face when I bring them out.

Mooses which would you choose if you could only have one? I'd love the 500, but only want the 460 for the option of shooting 460, 454 or 45lc, that way its not always a paycheque to shoot

Either will get you attention at a range. The 460V will give you a lot of flash and the 500 I have has an 8 inch barrel for just shear volume, it's massive. If you like wheel guns you can't go wrong with this one from Wanstalls.
