Will the BMT work with a 14inch barrel and a 1 shot extension on my 870?

Yes it will per say, but it may not "look as good" as other systems.
The bmt clamp is about an inch long so with a quality +1 mag tubes with an OD of aprox. .995-1.10, such as the S&J hardware , Vang comp or Wilson combat you will have no problems.
The only issue is that puts whatever Light you use very close to the muzzle, this is not an issue other then getting a little dirty.

are you offering the poly carbinate pads? or do you have a local solution or trick?

All CDM gear products some with 3M poly pads.

S&J hardware will be offering a two 2x2" stripps of the same Poly anti friction pads as an after market part shortly.
This will let you cut to size an anti friction pad for any item you wish to mount to any firearm.
The pad we will be offering will be a higher heat rating and also not as thick, this will let you use the pads on tight fitting parts such as our Bayonet mount.
Most of the time these pads are not needed, but being such a simple item and the fact it does no damage to the finish if removed, we feel its a good product to use.
