ETA on SAM Commander Stainless?

Just wondering if you have an ETA on the SAM Commander 1911 9mm Enhanced Stainless coming in? or if your getting them in again?

I was told in Feb when I inquired about the SS models.

The order that was going to be shipped in Nov will now leave Monday, add in the Christmas holidays and realistically we should be shipping these early Jan. This shipment will have no stainless models. The factory has had problems producing the stainless guns in the quantities we required with the finish we had previously. We will have one sample gun with the proposed new stainless finish which we will post photos of ASAP.

The stainless guns from the Nov shipment (assuming we approve the new finish) will be shipped with our Jan order, this order has been delayed, I should be able to advice new ETA for this shipment next week.

are the stainless guns made from stainless steel or just coated to look like stainless like the stainless cz shadows.when I buy a gun thats advertised as stainless steel I expect it to be made from stainless steel.Thanks

I spoke to the SAM quality control manager at SHOT last week. He told me the new guns will not have the bead blast finish. Don't know when the new finish guns will show up. I just received a 45 stainless Commander that came in the last shipment and it has the original bead blast finish. Apparently it is the last batch that will have that finish (although he felt the bead blast finish was better).
