On the horizon Grand Powers new large frame pistols

These just hit the factory catalog and are being produced.

    Caliber .40S&W

    Trigger mechanism SA/DA - double-acting system

    Trigger resistance 25/38N

Magazine capacity 14 (Would you believe 10)

    Magazine material steel

    Overall length 209mm

    Height 137mm

    Width 36mm

    Barrel length 108mm

    Weight without magazine 770g

    Weight with empty magazine 880g

So on first glance it looks like they have tried hard to keep the same grip size while using the larger magazine.

The weight has climbed by an ounce, and the gun is 3.5 mm higher.

I must remind Ryan to double his meds. Now I can hound him about the K22 and the P40.

    Are we there yet!!!

Seriously. Wouldn't you wanna buy a different brand? STI 2011, Kimber, Glock etc

The .45 is also in production. I generally stick with Production, so the 9mm frame is still fine for me. I still want to get the P40.

I don't have a specific list, but at the moment it looks like most of the small parts are common.
I had described this as a large frame gun, but I think it would be more accurate to say it's a large magazine version.
The grip frame is changed. Obviously so has the slide and barrel.

now if Jaro could only make a 7.62x25 version k100 frame is the perfect platform for hot 7.62x25. I am really impressed with the robustness of k100 pistols - all parts are thick and chunky, no paper thin parts with tiny mating surfaces some of the famous pistols have.

Canuck, I asked you in the other thread and maybe you've answered it already but do you know if they are going to change the 9mm's in the future to the new take down buttons?
I really like the way the Grand Powers shoot for me but given a choice I'd take the solid rail and trigger guard with the glock style release over the hole in the frame/flex trigger guard style currently in production.

Edit, I just read your response in the other thread!

    Thanks.
I look forward to the new latch on the 9mm!
