    M24/47 Yugo Mauser

    Hi all,
I just got done cleaning up my Yugo Mauser from Marstar, and I have to say for a rifle that was listed as "good", this one seems to belong more in the "very good/excellent" category. (pics up later). Apart from a few stock blemishes and dents, the overall condition of this rifle impresses me a lot, the bore is in as new condition with no copper buildup or old powder grime residue, and the bluing is immaculate. She was absolutley caked in Cosmoline, but after a 3 and a half hour cleaning marathon, the effort was well worth it!! Kudos to Marstar!

My M48 rocks. It also was listed as "good", and while it's not perfect I love all the scratches and whatever because, like I have said before, guns are like guitars: I love the old ones and their scratches, dents and dings as much as the new shiny ones. This rifle is unbelievably fun to shoot. Indeed, thanks Marstar.

Brake cleaner, mineral spirits, and lots of elbow grease. I also have been leaving it in front of the fireplace to "sweat" the Cosmo out of the wood.....

I love my m48bo. She is my first rifle and still one of my favourites to shoot.
