Will the MV be limited in its compatibility with certain butt stocks or will a UBR or something similar be achievable? I really like the idea of a mk12 Canadian hybrid. Looking forward to this as I couldn't afford a mh when they rolled out, & I'm heavy into the .223 calibre. Thanks for your guys hard work. Now we patiently wait.

I was there yesterday and was able to handle a Modern Hunter and it was a thing of beauty. I will 100% be getting a Modern Varmit when they come out.

I will be buying a Varminter, 100%. I only skipped on the Hunter as it was too large for my bush needs. Amazing to see this evolve.
    There's Mil-spec, and then there's Gunnutz-spec.
One is stringent, the other contains nuts.

Exciting! 1-8 twist barrel has been a nice one on my most recent setup. are the chambers strictly 223? or possibly 223 wylde. apologies if it was already posted.
Heading back from Kalispell tomorrow to Alberta. Didn't even realize Proof research was down here in Kalispell area only 3.5 hours away! Great barrels

With the side charge handle some stocks simply will not work. Until we have time to try various stocks we can not say which will and which won't.
Most fore ends should work, but again until we get a chance to try the flavors of the week, won't know.

Until the guys in Ottawa give us a legal classification it seems silly to spend a bunch of money buying assorted parts and spending the time playing Mr. Dress-up.

We ARE optimistic on the ruling, but then again we are talking Ottawa.

Really? We DON"T build inaccurate rifles. Never have and don't plan to start now.

So , with the modern Hunter already being approved wouldn't the modern varminter be much faster to be approved? Isn't it basically just a scaled down version of the modern Hunter ?

I believe this to be correct, but it is Ottawa....

Basically the MV should just recieve a "child entry" FRT under the Modern Hunter.
