    Pretty much. With any USGI-type stock/Chinese M14 combo you need to do the popsicle stick mod to keep the spring guide retaining pin from sliding sideways.

    I'm a big fan of the Vltor stock and rail.

    What is this trick you speak of...I've read about the pin flying off and stuff, but can't find too much info on it.
    Also, bout this stock is it synethic? Again, can't find much on it...

    Glue a popsicle stick or build the inside of the stock up with JB weld to keep the spring guide retaining pin from sliding sideways and letting the spring guide come loose.

    If you've read about it "flying off", it must have been some other part. The spring guide pin is captured.

    The Vltor stock is built from a USGI fibreglass stock with the stock/pistol grip section added.
