XDM in Canada - If it happened, what models and price points?

Hi all,

For those who haven't been acquainted with us, we're a retail sporting goods/firearms dealer in the USA, Washington state, right on the Canadian border south of Vancouver, BC. Registered exporters, full-line dealer. Nice to meet you.

No promises here, but we're exploring options to get 10-rd mags for the Springfield XDM. I've put lots of feelers out, and whether it be a custom mag or a gunsmith pin/block job, hopefully something can work out.

That said, if we can find a reasonable solution, what calibers (9mm or 40) and what models (colors, etc) would you be most interested in? The XDM is in low supply in the 4.5" models even here in the US. The most commonly available models from distributors at present are the:

XDM9202HCSP, 40 S&W, 4.5 in, Polymer Grip, Black Finish



and the:

XDM9241HCSP, 9mm 4.5" OD/S/S Slide



ALSO: what would people see as a reasonable entry price point? Remember it would include the full kit with hard case, 2 mags, belt holster, mag loader, mag pouch, etc. Also, there may be some substantial investment required to get 10-rd mags produced. Plus currency conversion, plus shipping, plus export paperwork, plus Dept of State fees, etc... So - somewhere in the $999 CAD might be a feasible entry price point, until some initial investment is recouped and then if possible maybe drop that just a bit.

Thoughts? Feedback? Answers?

Yup the States that don't have a 10 round restriction can have them, those that do, do not have stock of this firearm

Same reason we cannot get them here in Canada at the present time, no 10 round mags

Once they are made and available, I will be getting one as well, only an hour from the border, if the dollar stay strong it won't be much more than what your paying now, except the paper work, and if the store don't increase their fee, it will be a 100 bucks on top.

My buddy has been waiting for one as well, he will not buy anything else until these become available....

I agree....same situation here... I bought one of those $99 norinco's but the 9mm XDm is the ONE that i want.


Also a big thanks for trying to get the 10 round mags!!

$999 would be a high point in the price I think.
You are hitting HK prices if you go over.




I am partial to the O.D myself. 9 / 40, not sure yet.
