Matrix 300 gr spitzer in 9.3X62 draws first blood. WARNING - Grisly picture!

How long did the cross-eyed phase last?.
Blood get down inside the lips?, or, didja short-snort it all up the 'ole olefactory orifices on the way by?.

And oh ya Ted, ... ... me too.

So glad not to have listened to all them gent's, 'n their crowing on & on, .. "the x62, such a mild mannered pussy cat". :p

The 9.3X62, doing it right for 109 years! The 30-30 of Africa.

In North America it is a 375 with five in the magazine..... really!

Did you get the cylindrical '06 brass okay?
Ted

Did you need any help with that BUM? I could hold the light at least :)

Ya know a good and proper scoping one thing I've missed out on... had a few kisses definitely a bit of contact but never enough to even hurt a bit, spose that's getting pretty close. Spose I just jinxed myself now 2

BUM, allow me to lend you my 340 it is an absolute professional at scoping scars, especially from a sitting position shooting hard uphill with a 1.5-5 Leupold set on 5 power. It has left about 5 or 6 victory notches between my eyebrows, with a copious quantity of truly RUNNING blood right down into my chest hairs. God I love that rifle !!! I was shooting at a running goat and was all over him but couldn't quite connect, funny thing I never felt one of them bite me, but the blood was horrific.............I never hear or feel my rifle go off when I'm shooting at game, and apparently I don't feel getting hit in the forehead with a hachet either !!!

On reflection I've decided that I need a scar like that too.
I don't believe in karma, but payback tells me I'm probably going to get one of those now cuz I laughed when I saw that pic. Looks sore.

I've been tapped a few times over the yrs, but not yet cut. My time's comin'.

Well, as I told Cory the Cowboy when he sent me a PM me about it, "The classic too light a rifle, with too light a trigger, shooting too heavy a load, from too low a position, without too much thinking about what I was doing."

We will be back at it again, perhaps this evening. Trying to decide whether to go ice fishin' or not. The burbot are really biting right now.
Ted

Well now, if there was ever a better explanation for a scope cut I haven't heard it. I particularly like the part where to smack in the forehead encourages you to go fishin.

It doesn't seem all that long ago that I got tagged with my .458 . . . even Doug might notice that happen. I knew that scope was mounted too far to the rear, and it was bound to happen; sure enough I made a quick shot without thinking too much and the rest is history.

Yep, and we did go out for burbot. They were really biting, and Rick caught his personal best.

Got fifteen pounding the bottom with big spoons and rattle baits forty feet deep.

It's a different kind of targeting.
Ted

Don't fret Ted.........one eye brow is the inn fad.
I think the swelling would go down if you poked yer head in the hole
when you go ice fishing.

Then agin, you could always let yer bangs grow down and cover the kiss.
