I took part in the CSC K31 sale. Package arrived and it was well packed....no moving loose parts inside. The order included a diopter and muzzle break. I am truly impressed by the quality of the K31. It is leaps and bounds to other milsurps I own. The workmanship is superb. For example, the seam between the upper and lower handguard is almost unnoticeable. The trigger pull is smooth. The accessories needing no gunsmithing was a definite plus. So here are some pics I took.

Steelcap - Williams Arms in Port Perry has GP11 if you're in need. You can buy it in 40 round bricks for less than $1/round. To appreciate the brake, you should try your gun first without it! Wow - what a difference it makes. It puts the recoil down to less than my Swede 6.5X55 rifles. Make sure you wear full muffs when shooting!

You did well there. All you need now is some GP11 and some light yellow grease and you're good to go, and show up just about everybody else on the range at the same time. Oh, and join us over on www.swissrifles.com when you get a few minutes.

Will keep Williams Arms in mind. I picked up 4 bricks of the GP11 just a day after the package arrived. Been looking around for a loader/charger but nowhere to be found so I ended up using some of my mosin stripper clips. It works but need 2 hands to load it.

Where can I get the light yellow grease? I'm using Hoppes right now.

Re: grease. Go to Swiss Rifle website. Click on forum for group purchases. Guisan had bulk grease that he was selling. Two nice puck-sized tins for $22 US. Excellent service and the grease is at your house in 10 days. I believe the sale is on hold right now, until he gets more shipping tins. He ran out of yellow grease. He still has the black "auto"grease, which in my opinion, is better than the yellow. I'm now using it on every gun I own, including my 3 K-31's. Keep an eye on that forum and I'm sure the black stuff will come up again soon.

Reduces felt recoil down to lower level.
In the case of the K31, it reduces the recoil of the 7.5x55 to about the same level as a 6.5x55.

Does anyone know if there is a way to make the diopter hole smaller? The smallest setting for the rear site is like 0.5. I find this a bit too big past 100 yards.

The adjustable iris is to get better focus on the front sight with decent sharpness of the target, not to reduce gap size around the front hood.
You should try firing some three round groups, at different rear aperture sizes, to see what size will group best with current light conditions.
Try changing cheek placement further back and/or changing your body's angle to the stock.

I find the muzzle break really tightened up the groups.

Probably because I am not anticpating the recoil.

This is at 200 yards ...

Thank you. I will try this next at the range.

I was able to try this out at EESA this week. I was able to hit the steel gongs at the 300 yrds range repeatedly. My shooting buddy was amazed at what the K31 could do. Thank you Diopter.
