SAM 1911 owners please post pictures!!

it's simple trebor. you just need to upload to a sight like imageshack. then take the link they generate for you and click the little square image with a cartoon image of a 'tree', in that strip of editing options along the top of the reply box, which will pop up a box for you to paste the link into and when you click 'ok', voila! embedded picture. :D

The first picture shows the SAM Commander-E on the right with factory grips and to the left is it's Great Grandfather...a Colt 1911 from the WWI era (1917) which some idiot butchered by fitting it with adjustable target sights:bangHead:.
The SAM does most of the work at the range but I have shot lots of factory ammo through the old timer, very accurate after rebarreling/bushing and even though the sights are blasphemous they are pretty damn nice.:dancingbanana:

Another pic of the SAM with more traditional grips:

Those are the Marstar grips BTW...I wasn't sure what to expect as they don't list the maker. The remington R1 carry has similar and i thought they looked good on them. I had a hard time tracking down any decent reddish wood grips so I gave them a shot. The checkering is the sharpest I have ever seen on wood, like gripping sandpaper! Me likes...
$40 seemed steep, but they are pretty decent....put hogue wood grips to shame lol

I havent taken pictures yet, but my Military Enhanced 45 has a fair bit of creep, but breaks cleanly. Its not too far off from a Savage Accutrigger in how you can take it up slowly to the break point.
