AIA Enfield mags - Here in 2014 **ACCEPTING PRE-ORDERS**

Well, you better make sure the people on You Tube get the memo too. As I said before, the genie was already out of the bottle.

sure it is/was...but that was with relatively few and expensive mags, limited to 10 rnds.

then this thread came along with a virtual circle jerk of guys frothing at the mouth at the idea of buying hundreds of 20 to 25 capacity mags for the M14. I'm sure the RCMP sat up and took notice. I'd be surprised if the responses on this thread had nothing to do with them changing their minds on allowing NRM to go ahead with the mags.

This sucks but at least they reverse there decision before the mag ships out and we all paid a binch of money. Imagine the mess that would be , all the people who would want refunds all the pist off comments.....

As has been said by others, I find it hard to believe that they weren't aware of that possibility.

Norther Republic Magazine
I've re-read the thread and the email, but I'm still not sure if we need to cancel our original order and re-order the 10/20's?
Or does our original order remain in place, to be filled with 10/20's when they arrive, unless we contact you to cancel?

Sorry if the answer is right in front of me! :)

Just send an email to NRM with your instructions (cancel or proceed) so they are fully aware of what you want them to do...

Is anyone getting replies to these emails? Mine was sent 3x days ago, I'm sure they are swamped with messages...

Ive gotten my reply within a day or 2. I changed my order from the 25 rounders to the 10 rounders and they let me keep my queue.

Remember the three options of 10,20, 25. They were to have the manufacturer make the most popular mag first. Since this development the 10/10 mag will be the most popular and arrive first. The difference between 1st and 1000th in the Q then means nothing since the only difference is the time it takes them to repackage/ship and however long it takes to ship around the country.

I personally hold nothing against NRM for this development. Had the people asking questions about compatiblity in the M1A/M14 instead asked those questions in PM's to NRM we would still be getting our 20 and 25 mags.

Along comes these mags, ambitiously holding up to 25 rounds, but they know the majority of these bolt action mags will end up in M14's. The thought of mags having 5X the capacity they think they should have in a semi, scares the living Sh!t out of them. Rightly so after Moncton. Levels the field too much.

You don't seriously think that POS was using legal mags?

RCMP just want to keep gun owners under their thumb, this isn't just cause some people brought up other possibilities for these mags other than AIA rifles.

My point had nothing to do with the mags he was using.
The point was he used an M14, and the mags being considered happen to fit.
Bad optics to the anti's.
Imagine the hay to be made once it became widely known the RCMP allowed 25 round mags soon after Moncton.
They would have had a cow!

I do agree, however that it does come down to not wanting to allow that little cherry of control out of their grasp.
Not without a court battle, that they would then ignore the judgement, and/or
Have people charged regardless for prohibited device.
They aren't expected to know all the laws they enforce after all.

[deep sigh] OK... I just finished making my way thru the last 20 or so pages of this thread. (I just found out about the 10 round limit this morning). I see everyone is still smarting over the jolly-good rogering they received up the hoo-hah from the RCMP, (and their horses), about these mags. I had a feeling this was coming, after what's-his-face at global news kept harping on about the M14 used in Moncton. (gotta' wonder, if he used an ar with lar mags in place of the 308, do you think the mounties would be dual-use'ing them out the door instead?)

Anyway... good on NRM for trying.

Can I still get 20-round mags, with a rivet at 10?

Thanks...

Yes you can, order a 20/25 and you will receive a 20/25 blocked at 10. I changed my order to 10/10 mags. No sense in having the extra length for nothing.

I'd prefer 20 round mags pinned at 10. The length is acceptable, it's better for the spring, and... who knows? Maybe at some point you will be able to use (or need to) all 20 rounds.

Sorry... I had one more question. Did the RCMP say it was just your AIA Enfield mags that are "dual use", or all of them?

It would suck if any AIA Enfield owners out there that have 20 round mags, were to suddenly become criminals, without even knowing it. (due to this RCMP nonsense)

i don't think there is 20 round aia mags when i bought my aia no.4 i asked (just for s&g) if they had a 20 they said no but that's was just the store guy person thing that sits there to look pretty.
