RO's who cheat

from the uspsa area 6 facebook page

To the members of USPSA Area 6.
I have spoken with people that I trust and respect their views.
In review it appears that I have fallen short in safeguarding the trust and duties place with me in this sport.
I apologize for those shortcomings.
I accept the full responsibility for my shortcomings, as well as, any pain or embarrassment caused.
I have resigned my membership in this great organization.
At some point in my future I hope to rebuild that trust.
Humbly Submitted,
Paul Hendrix

"Shortcomings", huh. Falls rather short of admitting to cheating.

I recall a lecture from an Olympic shooting champion who pointed out that the job is not done until the paperwork is finished. (Yes, just like the sign on the outhouse wall.)

He explained that shooting the score was only part of the task. The other part is seeing that it is properly recorded. he illustrated his lecture by recounting the story of the big name golfer who signed a score card with an error on it.... and paid the price.

Every shooter should also turn and look at the timer. If they did, ROs and score keepers would also be more careful. it would hep the sport.

The letter also said his membership had been revoked. I can't imagine anyone in the USPSA community doesn't cringe when they hear the name by now.

Aletter went out to the entire membership so there should be no question as to his status.

Take Care

Bob

Can you show me a copy of the letter? I didn't get mine. I'm a USPSA Life Member. I heard some AD's are using facepalm as the official notification board. There is nothing on the USPSA website - actually if you do a member search he still shows as being an active RO.

Guess he could always take up Cowboy Action Shooting...their use of aliases would come in handy...perhaps a handle like Silver-Tongued Cheetah would be appropriate.

I know some people got it by email. But if it was mailed it wouldn't show up until next week sometime

I don't see why they would bother to mail it out to general membership when the Front Sight comes out every other month. You'd think Phil would just put it in there.

that makes sense of course, and it likely will be. I wasn't sure of the schedule for it. But it's an important piece of info, getting it out soon to as many people as possible is the best solution.
