Thank You Canadian Tire!!!

I called in- know someone who was going to pick it up for me if there were more- and apparently it was a FORMER employee's error.

You should send us all copies of the receipt so we can go in and say.. I'm not paying 1k for that... my friend just bought one from another ct for like $300... I want a price match

See above- it was an 'oops'

im waiting to drop this on the counter and see the look on the girls face

I try to get all my gas at Canadian tire for this reason.
Grab a 12x multiplier before hand and get even more.
It adds up fast.

Can't get "free ammo with gas purchase" anywhere else that I know of.

Can't believe this. I went to my local Canadian Tire here in Halifax today and lo and behold, they had renovated the firearms section and it was loaded with rifles and shotguns. There was even a showcase of SKS's, Mosins and SVTs. I picked up a Russian sks unissued ;aminate stock AND chrome lined for $199 (plus the sling, oil bottle and clip bag). They also had plenty of tins of surplus ammo both corrosive and non-corrosive. I went crazy.

The manager is very pro-firearm and he says this is the first of 3 stores in the city that are about to go big on firearms. I must be dreaming!!

Now I have an sks to fit my new Archangel stock system and a lot of future purchases to look forward to. Thinking about one of those Mosins (and they had plenty of 7.62 x 54 ammo as well).

Waiting for the CT's in the GTA to start stocking guns, so far just ammo.

I wouldn't worry to much, with all the minimum wage help and disgruntled workers, and of course the general complacency of someone making $10 an hour bank on more mistakes to come

I visited the Yellowknife Cdn tire this week, and they have 1 x SKS and they stock 7.62x39mm milsurp ammo crates, a couple Maverick 88s shorts and long, a weatherby PA-459, an Optima shotty (dunno about them), different .22s and other hunting rifle, most of them being SAVAGE. Ammo wize it's looking good and they have good stock.

It's great for the folks down there, because Wolverine is closed for a couple years now. Only place in town to by guns, as far as I know. The Weatherby shotty was an all black and is a looker....

Wonderful you ripped someone off and come to tell the world. Next there will be the overpriced items on EE you will be complaining about some one ripping you off. If you are inclined to operate business like that, get your gun for a price you know was wrong and tell no one. My 2 cents.

Anyone would done the same, how is it ripping someone off? NOT HIS FAULT that he got the better deal for their error. HELL I would do the same.

Will I go well sorry your Rugers are underprice then other stores, could you please raise the price to be fair? Your SKS are 50$ less then anyother retailer. PFFFF NO...

Not anyone for sure. Let's say that if you know that the price can't be correct and while having such knowledge, you still proceed with the purchase just to brag about it moment later on public forum you are not making the best choice. Well...it's your choice though. Note taken for any, prospective buyers on EE.
I sure wouldn't do that, so please don't put me in the same category with the people like that.
Yes, it's rip off. At least in my opinion.
Morals are something you don't discuss daily.
You just know what's right and what's wrong when nobody is watching.

Put it this way, let's hope the employee who screwed up on pricing that shotgun doesn't get fired down the road.

About 2 weeks ago I had to run into Canadian tire to pick something up. While I was there I figured to might as well check out the selection of firearms they are carrying. I looked through the racks and came across the the shotguns, I'm not a big shotgun guy but I do know what things should be priced at. So, as I'm gazing through the guns I see this SX3 with a tag on it saying $349.99. I stood there in amazement:eek:. thought to myself.."something isn't right here" so I took off and went back to work.

Once, I got back to work I jumped on the interenet and did some research and come to find out that this gun was going for $1099.99 on average at most places. I sat there with the biggest grin! I starting to think that maybe the tag from the gun next to it might just be laying on it becuase the are so closely stacked together.

But, the next day came and it just happen that I had to take my wife to an eye appoiontment right next to the same Canadian tire. So, i dropped her off and ventured over. I made my way to the firearms and seen that the SX3 was still there and it was actually priced $349.99. I called for someone to open up the cabinet so I could get to hold it etc. So when he opens it, i looked it over and asked "Is this the actual price of this firearm?" He said "Yup" so obviously i said "I'll take it!" so he boxed it up and i asked if there were anymore there he told me "no" i said okay! so i asked him agian "is this the actual price of the gun" he says agian "Yes" with a werid look on his face.

We get to the checkout and I asked once more "is this the price?" he agian said "yes". So, at this point I got the biggest grin on my face and shaking like a leaf because I couldnt believe what was just about to happen! The lady at the checkout rings it through(salesmen still by my side) she says that'll be $402.49 so I hand over a gift card that i had kicking around which knocked down the price to $277.49.

Once, she handed me the reciept and the gun I looked over at the guy would helped me and asked "Who puts the prices on these things?" he says "I'm not sure." to which I reply.."because I just paid $277.49 for a $1049.99 shotgun!" the look on his face was something I wished i took a picture of! and said " so thats why you kept asking me if that was the real price" I told him.."you betcha!" as I walked away the happiest man in that store and probably the happiest customer they had all week!

I'm not a shotgun man, but for that price I got no problem becoming one!

You sure it's new and not a refurb?
