Little bastards always come at night, never during daylight when I could take a shot at them. Even now they're out howling in the forest, with the thermal imaging I can see one in my neighbors lane way. I would love to get a thermal rifle scope
I love how the city folks are all worried about shooting at night. Welcome to the farm, where shooting the coyote next to the chicken coop happens at all hours. As long as you know your land and whats behind it take the bloody shot.
If you have the time go hunt them. They are obviously in your area, calling them in shouldnt be too challenging. Be persistent with calling and they will come answering. First and last light have been the best. Sometimes just wait for them to howl (usualy 9:30ish) than chase em down.
Walk about spotlight kit to clamp onto your rifle?
I do a fair bit of it walking around the Farm here for foxes, quite successfully too

OP doesn't say he lives on a farm or even rurally..... I know in one of the local towns the yotes are all around the outskirts and have been spotted in parking lots and school zones....
