What hard to find rimfire would you like to have

A very brightly case colored Stevens favorite with nicely figured walnut

But for an unrealisticly rare gun would be the model 21 double rifle in 22lr by Connecticut shotgun manufacturing

I was curious so I had to google.....I like the odd and unusual firearms.

Did I see the price correctly........$26500 starting?????

Original (not the shoddy plastic repro one) Whitney Wolverine.

Always liked the looks, never managed to get my hands on one. Only have seen one go by in the EE, and it was a nice unit in it's original box. More coin than I was gonna spend, though.

Cheers

Best rimfire that's no longer made eh.....
I'd really like to find a Mauser MM410b. The B series actions are of the smoothest best built actions ever made. The MM410b puts this action into a very light balanced hunting rifle. I'd trade my 54 action repeater Anschutz 1422 for the Mauser if I could ever find one.

The one I saw had $40 000 on the hang tag. I think they were around $30 grand base and then climb quickly
Ferlach makes a nice double in 22 and 17 hmr. Never held one though but I've read they're only 13 followed by a weird symbol not on my keyboard

I would love to find a decent 40X Sporter, without having to take out a second mortgage.

I already have many that were once on my "want" list [40X SS, Suhl 150, Remington 37, Remington 541S, Remington 541T Sporter, Winchester 52C sporter, Mossberg 42M, Mossberg 151M, Mossberg 46M, Ruger 77/22Mag...etc.]

I love good rimfire rifles, but have little time for the more popular production ones.

Regards, Dave.

Must be a beautiful .22 rifle. Double rifles were made to use on dangerous game; for the one I was able to read about (no photos) the auction house said it has embossed rats rampant on each side of the receiver, so I take it that rifle was made for rat shooting and that rats were quite savage back in the day.... :)
