Just received it in the mail today at noon. In anticipation i went out and had already gotten 400 rounds of #2 shot 3" shells, 100 each of #00 buck 3" and 2 3/4" and 100 each of 1oz slugs in 3" and 2 3/4".

I love this freaking gun, had absolutely no issues with it so far today, I think we put around 300 rounds down range today through it with no FTF, FTE or issues shucking the action. I was also wearing a long sleeve shirt, it definately helps with the shells ejecting onto your wrist unless you keep your elbow cocked out a bit.

My one and only grip with it so far, 3" shells really beat the crap out of my shoulder, after switching back to 2 3/4" i felt like i was shooting a .22LR and was able to keep on shooting no problem.

Why would you expect anything different?

I'm glad your gun works.

The fact that folks feel relieved that their $1000 PUMP shotgun actually works is rather troubling though.

I waited a year for mine. It was the coolest LOOKING shotgun I've ever owned, and I've owned plenty.

Functionally, NOT the coolest shotgun I've ever owned. I decided that a not so dear acquaintance would benefit more from the ownership of this firearm than I.

I'm glad yours works and I hope it continues to satisfy you.

IMHO the KSG was a pretty neat idea that was rushed to market before refinement. I'm really not a big fan of Keltec's polymer composition either. Maybe they'll get it right one day, but it will take a lot to inspire me to open my wallet for Keltec again.................flame suit on.

I have beaten mine like it owed me money. Clean it. Rack it like ya mean it. And you'd never give it up.

With the built in recoil pad, didnt think it would be that bad to be honest

IMHO most modern firearms are purpose built. If this was my only shotgun, I may feel it lacked in given situations. I bought one for it's capability to switch back and forth between 00 and slugs on the fly as the need may require. Low recoil slugs at that. I would save the 3" Turkey Loads (and your shoulder) for a big ole over/under with some heft to absorb some of the energy.

Absolutely love mine. I've put 1,000+ rounds through it and haven't had a single issue. I would also recommend 2 3/4" low recoil slugs and it cuts down on the ouch factor.

Mine ejects casings forward so I have no issues with them hitting my wrist.

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of issues were you having?
Mine was pretty smooth dry cycling it when new.
Ran pretty good, but would lock up after firing. It was weird because it didn't matter what king of ammo I was using.
It would run smooth and then just lock up and I had to strike the butt to unlock. Too many double feeds as well.

Mine also had a rough chamber and one super tight takedown pin. Mag selector screw came loose. All easy fixes but it would still lock up every once in a while.

I still like the gun, it just oozes "bad-ass". But for a pump I need something I know is gonna go bang EVERYTIME.

KTOG is a good source for info.

I never had any of these issues, sounds like something they should warranty?! I got mine last summer smooth sailing from shell #1, however I do agree it's not as easy to use as a conventional shotgun

only one issue I encountered was an occasional jam...the lip of the hull would sometimes get caught between the mag tube release while loading the tubes. If I make a point of pushing the shell well into the tube...no problem. The jam itself was easily rectified by spinning the shell around while pressing the tube release.

I was interested in these but it waned... I don't see the attraction other than the shell capacity. I guess it looks kind of cool but the price is a little steep for what you get, in my opinion.

I also find the hot 3" to be much harder recoiling than the hot 2 3/4 in a regular pump, so this is probably not an issue with your gun.

I have 2 of the newer production models and they both perform flawlessly but I would agree they did have their issues earlier on in production. I found that you shouldn't baby them they like it rough :)
