Ahhh... yes, that monstrosity we call the MR1. Like a souped up SU-16!
It may be a monstrosity but I would take it over a SU16 any day of the week.

Pretty much, except .50 beo mags are pinned to 5.5 to get 15 rounds of .223. Those mags are only 4 rounders, so about equal to LAR mags. Probably 10-11 rounds of .223
This is all dependent on whether or not the follower is a .223 follower to allow double stack or not as well.

Agreed, but in my opinion, the Benelli is just as big a waste of time and money. It is kind of like a rifle that tries to be something it shouldn't be. It tries to be a tactical rifle, but really its best left a varmit or bench rifle.
no, it uses a follower that centers the rounds due to reliability issues with the double stack 223 ones with the larger rounds. Almost everyone is manufacturing their mags with the follower that centers the rounds for the big bore calibers now unless they are specifically targeting the canadian market that buys them for 223 (PCV)

Yes, but it has a pistol grip, takes AR mags, and the receiver won't crack because you shoot the rifle/drop it/sneeze on it/look at it wrong. It's more of a tactical rifle than the SU will ever be because of the rrugged/reliable design and quality manufacturing.

I wouldn't pay $300 for an SU-16.
very well, they just dont drop free. They also run very well in my colt m4! Just load them to 14 not 15.
The PCV mags do not feed reliably in my MVP Patrol.
