Diemaco C8 worth the price?

Uh, not everyone can shoot as well as you, clearly 499 could not. The rifle certainly is capable, but in your case, it has a lot to do with the shooter. I'm willing to bet you could beat more than half those guys, if not pull the same performance you did at bisley with a Colt AR15A4 ($1149 from irg) with an Elcan thrown on it. Hell, I bet Longshot could outshoot me with a Norinco CQA and I was running a PGW, haha!

Anyway, one way to find out, side-by-side range review...Colt Canada SA 15.7 (op was asking about the C8 right?), a Colt LE6920 (lots of those around now thanks to IRG) and just for $hits and giggles, a Norinco CQ-A. You guys can grab a couple of 20" rifles too if you want to do a complete comparison.

One of the posters said he has never seen a c7 that can shoot [ul]better than 2moa[/ul], Gunnerlove is just saying that based on his own personal experience as a trigger puller, he is seeing the otherwise.

That is his point. His comment is not about the "value" and "price tag".

My friend won 1st in a 2-gun match against guys running SR-15s. He used a mostly factory Bushmaster 16" AR with a Chinese red dot. Does Bushmaster make quality product? :)

well if its the match I think your talking about he won day one not the overall lol
but your friend is a very good shooter as are you!

They are making more and more parts in-house. They recently released their own H2-3 buffer. They don't make their own barrels per say, but buy blanks that they turn, chamber, headspace. Gas blocks are made in-house etc.
 
I don't think there's an AR on the planet that's worth that much, but it's your money. If you want to spend 2 grand for a rifle you can only shoot on a range and will likely end up a collector's piece when the Socialist F**ks get elected again, go nuts.

There is no doubt that the makes of colt and diemaco are better than Norinco, but from my personal experience the DA and Morinco are quite accurate and quite reliable, nice trigger pull and is a super light rifle....it‘s been mentioned that due to the light weight my DA556 kicks harder than some other ARs, but it's definitely nothing un-manageable. Barrel life will be undoubtedly shorter than C8 due to the extra layer of chroming, but hey, a barrel is only $150 at Canadaammo...I could buy 10 barrels with the 1.5K price difference...guess the consensus is that C8 isn't really worth the 2K....

you know thats a great idea, we could organize this on a quiet day at pcdhfc, like on a cold thursday morning, I could bring my colt, make sure they are all zeroed correctly to 50 and have Gunner give them all a try at 200meters shooting all the same ae 55 grain ammo.

yes kinda.... a mid pack shooter will not get the most out of a Tier one type rifle but it will not hurt to have it ;)
 
I have found the easiest way to ID junk ammo is to look for 55gr on the box.

I have a fair bit of trigger time with M4s, and will take a Colt Canada rifle any day.
 
Colt Canada makes some of the best barrels out there in the world. But for a rifle that is being produced by Canadians and under our current gun regs it should have come in at a much better price. Is it worth the current price well, compared to other options out there I would be looking at something else that offers close to the barrel and better on other levels in some areas where in most respects but if I have the money and don't really care about it then yes go for it. It comes down to budget and other additions. Scopes, lights, tactical BS etc etc etc.
 
I was in the market for AR about this price range. End up I bought the KAC SR-15 mod2.
I believe KAC has better package for this price.

There processes are several steps ahead of other companies out there, the best I can say is they will last longer and hold there zero for significantly longer than most manufactures out there . Though for the price you can always just buy a Second DD barrel or something on those lines. If it was the only AR I could buy or carry it certainly would be a deciding factor with that barrel it comes with.
