My wife firing my brand new 2014 Daniel Defense MilSpec+ M4A1.
It's hard to see in this pic, but it's actually the new brown cerakote. In real life the brown is not as bright as in the stock photos.
Not really a "build" so far because it's still stock other than the crappy Bushnell red dot I put on it until I can afford an ACOG.

Most defiantly an US Optics. It's either the one stated (1.8-10 T-Pal) or a ST-10 T-Pal.

I dunno if anyone is really interested in this sort of thing, but here's my XM607 build... Upper is true vintage heavy barrel (very heavy) Colt XM607 from Colt's prototype department. Proper vintage triangular charging handle and chrome "slick-side" BCG, all on an Sp1 lower. The wire stock is an M231 copy by DPMS, but I should have the real thing in time.
Fired it supported, but handheld, for 20 rounds @ 50Yds (10 were rapid fire), with iron sights only... The heavy barrel keeps them all pretty tight!
Ohhhh. How did I miss seeing this?! Very, very nice! If you ever wish to part with her...................

Years ago, a Colt AR would sell for about $2,500k in Canada (they still do sometimes on EE, haha!). Not that I’m a brand whore, but thanks to folks like IRG, I could finally afford one. I still have my Norc, and it has never failed me to this day, but there’s just something about having the roll marks “Colt” on the side of the receiver.....guess I am sort of a brand whore, haha!
I just picked this up recently, and after years of wanting to have all things railed and loaded up with tacticool accessories on every single one of my firearms, I have to say there is something about simplicity that is heaven. I still appreciate having rails on some of my toys, but this rifle is light, it’s simple, and it feels nice to handle. I’m probably going to keep this one just the way it is, and might even leave the carrying handle and shoot with the iron sights.
I threw on my 10.5in upper and fake can just for the photoshoot.

I dug through my spare parts box and found a spare lower I had laying around so I decided why the heck not, had some engravings thrown on it and it turned out not-too-bad, minus the Diemaco company logo. I had a sinking feeling that the C8A2 bit may not be entirely accurate....I have no idea, I've only used the C7A2 and no idea what proper roll marks on the C8 look like. Anyways, did it for fun, got my Colt fix from IRG, play with the real deal at work (2-3 times a year if we're lucky, haha!).

Vortex Strikefire and VMX-3T magnifier
After install of a new bolt catch (stock one was unreliable holding back blot from empty mag) and above components, rifle now operates like a dream. The stock muzzle flash from NEA rang like a tuning fork every time I fired a round. Also polished rear end of BCG cause machine marks were chewing up the face of the buffer (the stock buffer, not the ATRS)
