Ak-47

$2k-$3k for a used Valmet....IRUNGUNS bring a few in now and again

Yup, just shop around on gunbroker or armslist until you find the one you want, for the price you are willing to pay. They can be found for 2g down there, yet for some reason still command a high price here.

Simple case of people not realizing they can buy from the US and import.

Well the thing is IRG can definitely bring in valmets for 2-3k but they sure as hell won't be 7.62x39 versions

I know that for a fact, and how do I know that:

Guys,

Does anyone know if the AK will ever be legal in Canada?

Thanks!

Bahahaha, nope. Not ever, move to Merica and a state that allows them if you really want one. I shot a full auto AK in Vegas in 2010, it pretty much ruled. I'd buy one in a second if we cod own them.

Yeah....The AK would be a definite must have if ever Legal but not holding my breath.

Owned one, shot one, in the good ol' days, when they were legal. Not much different than the CZ858, that they plan to confiscate.
People are always more intriged by the forbidden things they can't have!

why does everyone wants to have one so badly.. it's heavy.. no optics mount, not accurate, fire selector switch is crap (no need to trim your nails anymore after using one).. every time you disassemble / assemble one end up with bloody hands (crude parts / cleaning rod likes to bite while taking it out) and if not quick enough broken finger on top of that while trying to get cleaning kit from the compartment in the fixed stock.. just because of iconic status and famous reliability? we already have better choices and much improved and as reliable as AK platforms.. if you want appearance look a like get a CZ/CSA.. if you want to have internals to be as close as possible get a Swiss / FAMAE rifles. i have zero pleasant memories operating one (shooting, take down.. etc).. trigger was crap and full auto was very hard to control.. don't understand what is all fuss about.

It is the forbidden fruit my friend. What we can't have, we want even more

And I still want one.
