The Modern Hunter Rifle UPDATED December 10 2015

uh.... Can you post up a photo of it assembled with the prs? The collapsible stuff just really ruins the aesthetics. This rifle is way ###ier with the prs on it...... Maybe toss on a nightforce or something so that we can all drool over how great is could be...???

x2.

I'm preordered and would prefer a fortis over the current options. I'm sure your a busy man and would rather have your time working on the current order of MHR's and getting the the prototype out for final frt inspection, rather then playing dress up with it. I'll see what it looks like with a prs and optic when it arrives at my door.

Cheers

Count me in on the 15"

After reseaching it I would change my my order from the samson 15" keymod to the Fortis Switch if it's a option which I hope it will be. Since I'm going to have two calibers it will make switching just a little bit easier and I like the look of the Fortis better and it's even a touch lighter, sold.

I was going to do samson but would rather the fortis as well. No squiggle cut outs and an ounce lighter. Looks a bit more expensive, but fairly negligible over the price of the rifle.

If everyone else is switching from the Samson to o the fortis I guess I will too. BTW could you put a hello kitty sticker on it and take a picture? - that's what you guys sound like.

ATRS - sorry for the slight derail - you have to take an opportunity when it presents itself you know?

Also, I'm drooling over that rifle. It's got me sold so to speak. A bud's got one I'm hoping to try out when it comes, then it'll be time to consider an order :D

I could tell you really wanted to see it, and I couldn't let someone wait in suspense.

Ok! That's not fair! Seeing the pic's just put me over the edge! If that thing shoots as good as it looks....Please take my money!!!
I just "told" the wife :D that this is my next "big purchase" rifle the next time I get the big commission chq! ;) She laughed...but I was serious. A true Canadian made original, made right here in my home town and to get in on the first production run..?!...how can I not buy one??!!.....you will be getting my deposit within the near future! Great job!

Rick, the day you say we are a "go" for .223, the very next day you got my deposit. And you must know that I'm far from alone.

I can't wait to use this for service rifle!

We intend to scale this platform down to 1 that will accommodate the 223 sized cartridges, when is the good question. I fully expect we will have to submit a prototype of is for inspection as well as it will have a unique FRT number, but being a variant of the MH I suspect a shorter time for classification.

After a bit more study it looks like the Fortis system is the better way to go, so we WILL be replacing the Samson option with the Fortis in 2 lengths.

To all that have guns ordered PLEASE go onto our website later next week once our IT guy is back and make the revisions and check to see if these effect you or not.

Can you post some pictures with an A2 stock and a normal pistol grip? The pictures you've posted make the rifle look terrible from the pistol grip back.

I thought the same thing, went down and had a look at it today, the pictures do not do this piece of art justice. In the pictures it appears that the lower/upper is too big and the stock/grip look silly. In real life it looks perfectly balanced.

You thinking what I'm thinking ? :S I really am at a loss for which way to go with it. I've been going for lightweight the whole time. I think I'd want to see one in person before I could really decide, but that's not likely to happen... Frick.

yes, I am thinking the same thing. the carbon hand guard is pretty sweet, but the Fortis seems like the more logical choice for weight and future barrel swaps. should also work better for some back up sights if wanted. the 14" Fortis shows as 14.75" which would probably cover the gas block at only 10oz.
the Fortis lists Keymods at 3 and 9 o'clock. is there any way to mount to the bottom at the front for an atlas bipod? this could be the deal breaker if there is nothing there, although I'm sure I could drill 2 holes and mount a pic rail
