Is there any chance that despite the name there would be no lineage to the galil/ak and they could be deam non restricted?

Probably not but since it's from iwi i'm shure it's a good gun.

I fired it years ago in isreal. It is my fave of the IWI lineup

Plus it seems its got a few updates on it.

So since you fired it and there no talk a out it you must know if theres a prohibited frt for it?

Also I am calling you guy's tomorrow to make a order:p

Valmet actually still exists and is independent again, it was actually spun off from Metso in 2013 after a merger awhile ago:

The valmet is not really that hot compared to the modern AK. Lots of you guys will probably scream bloody gore because valmet did not chromeline their barrels.

There was a bit of controversy right now as Finland had purchased 80,000 AKs and ammo from East Germany at bargain price back in the day, to equip their reserves force and stock pile. They now want to get rid of them because the Finnish military found that they could not use the corrosive E. German ammo in their valmets without chromelined barrels.

Are you saying there is yet hope for new Valmets to hit the market?

Why do you need chrome lined barrels to fire corrosive ammo?
