A CZ 75 Kadet if a semiautomatic is your thing and you’re not too budget minded. They also are a match in size and close in weight to the center fire 9mm & 10mm so make a great trainer for the larger caliber.

Great example of a quality 22lr revolver. Lots of folks recommend the CZ Kadet (22lr semi). I have no personal experience with one....so I vote Ruger MKIII or S&W41(for more $$)

Here's a good deal that won't last much longer..... I haven't tried there .22's yet but Grand Power makes some nice pistols and if for some reason you don't like it it will be easy to sell down the road for what you paid.

Take your pick.....lot's of models to choose from.
Can't really go wrong with either, some people have issues with Ruger assembly but it's pretty basic and there are thousands of youtube video's showing how to do it.

X2, great gun. VERY easy to clean, like 2 minutes. Nice trigger and the sights were dead on.

If you can operate a manual can-opener than you should be able to perform the take-down/assembly of a Ruger MKIII. You just need to know what you're doing and why you're doing it....

I was looking at a GSG or SW mp22 as I'm a big fan of 1911's and the M&P's, but bought a 'Ruger 22/45 lite' instead and no regret here! a bit different to disassemble but after you do it and know the steps it only takes seconds.

I've heard buckmark is better out of the box, but ruger has more aftermarket stuff, and is better with aftermarket parts. I only have experience with the MKIII though.

I am with gdrew and also recommend the CZ Kadet, if you can find one. Full size frame and great reliability.
