I have not bin out yet bin to hot but looking good fore next week-end mid november is the best for hunting deer on Haida Gwaii
im still hoping to get out and hunt are Haida Gwaii elk this year I live im Massett but never bin Elk hunting haahaa The deer are to easy to get here lol

Front quartering shot bullet recovered under the hide on the opposite side and it performed as expected. Not a bang flop but found him shortly after the shot about 100 yards down the trail. I always am amazed at just how tough some of these critters are. His lungs were liquid goo but he still covered a bit of distance.

Was walking a hydro line today when I heard a crack off to my right in the parallel cut. Big buck staring at me, I made a grunt and he took off. Not the rut yet and bothered since it would have been my biggest buck if I had dropped it. Oh well, there is still time.
 
This needs a bump! The elk herd I was hoping to run into got scattered from hell to breakfast by a couple of wolves, so I went after whitetail later that day. The K31 still gots it!
