Wooded area behind my house is privately owned by someone ,it's got a river running thru it and homes border the area on both sides . On the municipal website it's designated no hunting area, well there is someone hunting in there. See him come and go with his bow. I'm all for hunting and all, at the moment I'm keeping my mouth shut. But it kinda bugs me, what would you guys do?

Personally I would notify the land owner as most of them appreciate people looking out for their land, if they are ok with it and gave permission to someone to hunt there, then I would be ok with it as well, especially since they are bow hunting quietly (no chance if stray bullets in residential area).. Just my opinion

I would just live and let live personally. Is he really bothering you that much?
He is probably doing you a favor and keeping populations of deer from getting too thick in your locale. Would you feel the same way if you found that all your (wife's) perennial flower beds chomped down, apple tree branches chewed up, and your garden greens ransacked by the deer herd?
Or what about hitting a deer on the road...

He may not even be hunting , he may just be target practising , or passing through that area to get to somewhere else . As others have stated , just ask the land owner.....
If it is a no discharge area and he is trespassing then he is breaking the law. Do you usually encourage people to trespass across other peoples properties?

Not at all! When I wrote that comment I was under the impression that the person hunting had permission or owned the land, hence my second reply suggesting that the OP tell his neighbor of possible trespass.
If the person is trespassing and or hunting illegally it is every hunter's responsibility to say something. I would hope my neighbors would let me know in a siminliar situation.

yes, talk to the landowner and let him know you know someone is hunting his land. His response and actions from the hunter now knowing he is spotted will likely tell you how to proceed (if you call the ministry or not).
Are you sure the ministry does not allow permits for crop protection even inside the area? I know some cities, districts, municipalities do.

I would talk to the hunter first. Maybe he is unaware it is private property or he does have permission to be there... His response and behaviour as well as my relationship with the neighbour would dictate my next course of action. If the neighbour is an a$$hole I wouldn't be telling him anything.
could always go to the neighbour and ask for permission to hunt the land, If he says no you can say why not since someone else is already hunting it.
Going in and disturbing a guys hunt to talk to him is not going to start the conversation off on the right foot.
