SVT - Quality

Well got my pictures this morning, its a 1940 and Jean told me the bore is perfect.... no stock repairs and has the groves to mount a repo scope.

I am happy with the gun, and am glad that I didnt have to ship. Paid 299+tax, 344 out the door.

I wish my LGS had nice SVT-40 all Pullens in Victoria had was overpriced bottom of the barrel SVt-40's.... Same price as P.S but beat to sh!t.... It was my first time at the store yesterday, after looking over the prices it will be my last...

This was my 200$ SVT grouping with a frosted bore at 50yards... Sold it right after.... Hopefully this one is better....

You're pickier than me, that's what I get with my SKS offhand at that distance. I'm not very consistent day to day though.

lol, Yup a 1945.... But it sucked and was forced matched all over, stock repaired and the 100 yard grouping was Minute of barn.....

Hello,

I am looking at buying an SVT-40, and have been to many of the sites that still have them in stock. I am just curious if you guys can speak for any of these retailers on the quality of their surplus. I have been strongly considering an SVT from frontier firearms as they have a fixed 15$ shipping. Shipping price is kind of a big deal as well, because its got to be shipped way up here to northern Ontario. Any input would be great guys, and if this has been covered, I apologize, I will admit, I didnt look all that hard for a similar thread.

Thanks,

Jeremy

If i had to buy another SVT 40 again.... id buy from Corwin Arms. I bought my first one from Wholesale Sports for $250 it was a late production and had a heavily pitted bore, it shot decently accurate, but did not cycle worth a damn. Another problem with having a SVT with a pitted bore is its WAY more harder to clean.... SO i contacted Corwin, and asked for the best bore he could provide me, for $317 i received a 1940's SVT with a MINT bore, no pitting, good rifling!

Lock your arm with the sling.... that works for me...
Thanks, yeah I do that with my Mosins and it definitely works. I just hate the issued SKS slings because of how bad the clip rattles and mars up the rifle. I need to get an aftermarket one.
