Looks kinda like "that gun" from fallout new vegas. Cool. Too bad you wouldn't be able to gold it ever again after firing once. Very pretty. I wanna see a rhino version whre the top os a rail for sights. The middle is the .357 and the bottom is a launcher.

12 ga is fun idea too. This is why I worship talented machinists.

Milder than a shotgun. No worse than a Desert Eagle.

Thanks. Then another question from a grenade newb (can I call myself a newb if there's no practical chance in hell I'll ever get to try one?): how heavy is the launcher? Also comparable in weight to a shotgun? Or is it the mass of the launcher that absorbs the recoil from the grenade?

Some nerds made this a gun in a video game. This is concept art based on it.

It does not exist....YET

Grenade launcher recoil is pretty mild. Would anticipate the .454 would be worse.

I had 0 desire to own a revolver till I saw the beauty of this. But slim it down to .357 and a 26.5mm launcher.

Or somehow stick a launcher under a semi pistol in a manner that does not look like an abortion. I would be all over that.

Who wants to get on this as a project?

Think flare launcher. Not really different. Some are smooth bore, some are rifled bore. Most of my use was singly shot breach loaders in 37mm or 40mm. Not overly heavy, low recoil felt. Much less than an 870 12ga for recoil and weight.

Thanks. And I understand it's only a 30mm so I guess that would be even less recoil.

Since it wouldn't break your wrist every time you pulled the trigger, I guess it's about time this thread devolved into bear defence, right? ;-)

if we could handgun hunt in Ontario, that could be a deer gun with a bear backup.. haha

If we ever get open carry, I want one in .357 with a 12ga instead of the grenade launcher.

....mmm.... think you want a LeMat revolver....

Le_Mat_Revolver.jpg

"The LeMat revolver was a .42 or .36 caliber cap & ball black powder revolver invented by Jean Alexandre LeMat of New Orleans, which featured an unusual secondary 20 gauge smooth-bore barrel capable of firing buckshot. It saw service with the armed forces of the Confederate States of America during the American Civil War of 1861–65."

Jayne Cobb carried a variant of one in "Firefly" and "Serenity"

Of course, if you DID have one... wouldn't it be an antique?
