Where can I get a sling for the SVT-40?

Hey guys,

Looking for a SVT-40 sling, anyone know where to get one in Canada? None of the places in the states want to ship to me it seems.

I use Mosin nagant slings for mine they work well that could be your last resort

Ostfront militaria on evil bay has mosin and ppsh slings. mosin for the avt stock, and the ppsh works great on the early style.

If the only item you are ordering is a sling, there is no AES applied for. You can place your order and we will remove the $35 AES fee from it prior to shipping your order.

If you buy from them online, they waive the $35 fee for non-parts during their processing...If you call and order they waive it on the spot.

Alright dude, you never mentioned it was only 4 weeks ago, and you certainly did not mention about them waiving the AES fees. No need to blow a gasket over me reporting what their online order form states.

Don't put a ppsh sling on an SVT, unless you want all the other kids to point and laugh at you. they are too small.

I ended up ordering six of them and sold 4 on the EE. I was lucky and got an oddball in the group. It had a very dark green canvas strap that was slightly wider than the rest. Same length as the others. So I definitely saved that one.

Buy any rifle sling in any hunting/sporting goods department. What's the problem? It would be as correct as any post-war slings ppl put on their SVTs. And no need to buy from US.

You will not find real SVT-40 sling so "correct" options are: whole leather substitute slings, canvas and leather substitute slings, war time Mosin Magant or PPSh slings (note war-time, not post war stuff). All of them are "correct" as in "had been used with SVT".

I just ordered 4, total less then $40 delivered, so, military canvas/leather good to very good slings for less than $10 each, I couldn't find one that cheap at Army Navy or Wally world, might not be exactly correct but at least Soviet Eastern block! Got a couple extra in case a friend wants one!!
