Good Gawd it's not much to look at, but..... All my other stuff has nice traditional chunks of lumber on them, except for my boat paddle Ruger, but that is sporting some nice long range elk medicine optics so for a true behind the truck seat, don't give a rat's azz about deer rifle, gonna take the plunge.
Was pleasantly surprised on the reviews, decent sights to boot. Wholesale has them for $420 and if I'm not mistaken my local CT has them also....
Flying home on the 19th for a 3 week Christmas party, will be sure to post pics, take the rails off for easier carrying and report range results!

Yeah, people love to hate this rifle. But mine is comfortable, shoots and cycles great and the sights are really nice. This coming from someone who isnt a big tactical guy either.

The M4 style buttstock bugged me and had wobble, so I installed a CTR and it's much better.
The forend rails are not used, other than for a nice gripping surface. I also added a hand stop to increase the hold even more so.
Last touch was a paracord wrapped lever and this gun is really pleasant to shoot, despite going against every grain of the platform itself. As you said. Its a great bang around gun and its accurate too.

EL34 do you think it is possible to put a more traditional synthetic full buttstock on it or does the grip make that hard?

No worries:)
Just don't see any practicality in a tact'd out lever when the original wood stock design works so well.
All the open areas and hand guard holes are perfect for brush to catch in.
I can see being constantly tangled when hunting with that thing.
Dak47 wants something different and don't care what others think so all the power to him. I'm sure he's thought about it and will enjoy.

Cheers

Yes , we've heard it all before. We own one so we are silly. Yet we still make them work for us.
Shame gun owners feel the need to slam fellow enthusiasts choice in firearms.
For the record, I also enjoy the classic 94s as well.
I'm not a ninja, Im not a troll, I'm not a fudd, and I don't chastise others for one of many guns that they happen to own either.

Maybe the internet isn't the place for you.

Super Cub really wants to put a Boyd's thumbhole stock on that thing... that would make it No.2, behind the ChatFudd.... ;)

He didn't chastise you... he said the gun is ugly... everyone is entitled to an opinion.... that is why not all guns look the same... you like it, he doesn't... no biggie...

I am a big fan of adjustable length of pull.

This unit is not high on my list - but I bet the quality is far better than the average Marlin these days.

I would be tempted if I ran across one in a shop.

I recently handled one in a local shop. I am a blued steel walnut type of lever guy BUT the sights are really good and would be a positive addition to a good old fashioned lever rifle. Not my cup of tea but I do believe this carbine will find a niche.

I have not problem with the OP's choice of gun, but I with the 464 came with a traditionally shaped synthetic stock as an option. Synthetic is great on beaters for walking the trap line, hunting in the slop, etc.
