I'vr been doing lots of research but I can't make up my mind. I've been thinking a lot about selling my ruger american to help save up for a cz american combo. I really like the cz and I want a 17hmr too, but I can't justify forking out that much dough.. is it worth the cash

My brothers got the cz Lux and the fit , finish is superb ! It's also incredibly accurate , golf balls at 55-60 yards no problem ! If you divide what it cost over the rest of your life ( cause you'll never sell it ) it's really not that badly priced ;-) ! Lol

Yup.

This is my first day with the rifle testing it at 50 yards for ammo sensitivities. It was also before I installed the Yodave trigger.

This is what my 452 Lux can do at 75 meters with CCI SHP 32Gr @ 1640 FPS (they also make a low velocity SHP).

This was before I did the YoDave job on the trigger:

So... Yes, worth it. Every penny.

Get 455 or 452 and you will be happy for ever....
I have tried 2 barrels on my 455 (22lr/22wmr). The 2 barrels are a great idea but if you are planning to switch calibres on a weekly or monthly basis it become a bit of a pain, even more so if your action and barrel are epoxy beded.

I had a 452 American and a Varmint. Sold them both to buy a Remington 40XR.
Since then I bought a 455 American and a Varmint with a laminated thumb hole stock.
The following target was shot at 100 yards with CCI MiniMags solids while checking indexing.
The target on the left was shot and then I returned to shooting lead bullets at 50 yards.
The target on the right was a return to the MiniMags and the first shot was low and left.
There are around 500 rounds through it now and it is starting to produce.
Still working on the Varmint but it shows promise.

Either the 452 or the 455 will last beyond your "Best Before" date and past your "Expiry" date if included in your will.

I don't remember how much it cost.... You wont either after a short while. My 455 is just super- quoting a guy at the club with a Norinco bolt after stacking 3 shots at 50 yards with my 455: "wow... makes you realize why these Norincos are $250". It was a chunk of money, but I have the .22 and .17 hmr and I have never been tempted by anything else.. ok maybe that 1710 annie I saw once, but we can dream can't we!

Same results with mine^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I use the RWS Rifle match. Love it! you won't regret it. Have the 22 and 17. I fell in love with the 17, a little more pricey to shoot but well worth the admission.

I know it might not be much but I shoot 4" groups at 200 yards on windless evenings. Off my homemade sort of rest. I real enjoy it. Have just a Banner on it. Nice scope for the money.

You will not regret it. Maybe look at the bulls???

Just recently got a CZ-452 Lux lefthanded. Best purchase I have made all year. Extremely accurate, quality finish, and the part that surprised me is they come with a sighter target from the factory (pre-shot to verify quality). It is now a never sell rifle and I couldn't be happier. I would recommend the Lux or Ultra Lux model though as it allows you to have iron sights well still having the built in dovetail if you wish to mount a scope.

I should mention the one downside to owning a CZ...

It will turn all your other .22s into safe queens.

My CZ 455 Lux in .22mag is the most accurate rifle I ever fired. It shoots 50 yd 4 shot 1/8inch groups with CCI Maxi .40 grainers all day long from a bench. I also have the .22LR barrel but can't be bothered switching. Use my 10/22 for gophers up to 75yds or so and get the CZ out for longer ranges. The 10/22 is a joke compared to the CZ in accuracy. May sell the 10/22 and get another CZ in .22LR only.

This!!! I sold all my other ones.

Longest shot made with my lux was 85 yards with the stock sights on the 452. Popped a few gophers at 70+ yards that day with it and mini mags. Love the lux sights.

The new 455 trainer has tangent sights like the old 452 the best of 2 worlds. The barrel swaps for the 455 is also a plus.
Buy the 455 you will not regret it All 8 of my cz's shoot well.
