Thanks to CanadaAmmo I have this little gem earlier than expected :) I really like it, had to work a bit on some usual Norinco imperfections, but after some sanding, polishing and cleaning it looks and performs really well, need to adjust front sight as well to move POI to the left a bit :) Got extra mags for it so it's ready for some serious plinking :)

As Usual your photography is excellent. I would love to see what you could do with a Nice No.4 Enfield.

As for the Norc, these look interesting, and its most likely just your picture but they look quite nice as well.

I still have to figure out what height of rings I need for mine. I want to mount a little old .22 scope on mine to give it that sniper look, but the objective runs afoul of the rear sight. It's needing taller rings than these scopes are usually found to be wearing

These are the rings I had one mine, perfect fit they cleared the rear sight by half a MM and one has a set screw to prevent it from walking on the dovetail, perfect: amazon.ca/gp/product/B001WJ4UT0

@ OP, beautiful photography, it looks great. I sold mine recently but it shot hole in hole with blazer @ 50m. Manual guarantees 50mm (2 inch) groups at 100m but it does way better than that.

Thanks :) Can you please post a picture of your rifle with rings and scope installed?

Anybody find any scope/rings combinations that work?

It was a pain in the ass but with a dovetail to weaver base installed first, it was high enough to mount a compact 4x scope.
The scope wouldn't work straight on the dovetail with medium rimfire rings due to the length of the dovetail, and a regular length scope wouldn't work for 2 reasons...the rear sight being one as already mentioned, the bolt handle being the other....it wouldn't clear the ocular. I'll take a pic later....
While the gun looks pretty on the outside, the action and bolt machine work is absolutely horrific. The safety would not work at all out of the box, and after cycling the action a dozen times the bolt stopped closing. Took a look and the cocking piece on the firing pin wore a dent into the bolt handle where it engages....due to large amounts of burred metal left on it. The bolt comes apart easy, and I had to polish and reshape some of the engagement surfaces. Nothing seems to be heat treated there so I applied lots of grease and will see how long it will last. Trigger pull is more craptacularness....but will deal with that later. Pretty sad that they put so much effort into it looking good on the outside, and zero effort into the functioning parts.

Here is mine. I seriously think to refinish the stock, its a bit too red...

I can use the sights with my rings ( Ebay 10$ rings ) setup and a 4X32 scope.

Nice pics! My dear wife bought me one a few years back on the Lever $99 Christmas sale. :) I bought one recently from Canada Ammo. Although I don't recall checking off the boxes, I paid another $40 for donations to NFA and CSSA, so this one cost me $270!!!!!

Both of mine leave me with the impression that the front and rear sights are canted to the left, as in the barrel not being indexed. Is it just me, or does anyone else have that impression as well??

Otherwise, I love the little rifles. Good, meaty feel to them, yet not clunky.
